Combining historical music, onstage costume transformations, and audience participation, these immersive, multi-sensory performance experiences bring American heritage to life through music in a way that is unlike anything audiences have ever seen before.​

Emphasizing SEL & character building

Programs feature songs about American heroines and heroes from throughout our nation's history.
 
Students learn that the heroic qualities of these Americans are still important today–and that these qualities live inside of each one of us.

Programs are accompanied by a substantial set of cross-disciplinary & SEL supplemental materials.
 
Of Thee I Sing's unique 'combination method' helps students retain important social studies content, and uses stories of historical figures as examples of SEL values.

ADD-ON WORKSHOPS & RESIDENCIES

THE POWER OF SONG

Pre- or post-performance activity. Participants learn about music's important role in shaping American history and write their own song to a familiar tune using historical techniques.

When held as a pre-performance activity, the group's song becomes the performance finale, with the entire audience singing along!

  • Audrey works with a group or class of students for the week leading up to a school performance.

​

  • These students engage in in-depth discussion of the program content and learn the song choruses they will perform for their peers from on stage. 

​

  • Students have the option to present narrative  content within the program, practicing public speaking and poise.
