"Young Ladies in Town"

This song's historical text was first published in a Boston newspaper in 1769
as a call to action during the boycotting of the Townshend Acts.

These interactive and educational programs take audiences back in time to the beginning of our nation's history.  Three programs are offered on this topic:

Daughters of Liberty: A Musical Tribute to America’s First Female Patriots

A More Perfect Union: A Musical Journey to The US Constitution

So Wondrous Free: A Musical Journey to The Declaration of Independence

"The Tippecanoe County Historical Association sponsors the “Feast of the Hunters’ Moon," a living history festival that attracts over 40,000 visitors.  Now in its 55th year, the Feast highlights the history of Fort Ouiatenon, the first European settlement in Indiana.

The Feast has a reputation of providing outstanding educational music and cultural programming, so when we first saw Audrey Johnson doing one of her “Of Thee I Sing” performances in the community, we knew right away that it was a high priority to have her at the Feast.

Ms. Johnson performed a very research based program at the Feast that was fun, educational, met our needs for historical accuracy, and one that totally wowed Feast audiences. The quality of her singing was beyond anything we’ve ever had at the event before, and her dedication to researching appropriate music was very apparent."
